Shakardara oil fields situated in Kohat district of Pakistan have a capacity to produce oil equal to the quantity and quality of Kuwait, while saying this a native of Shakardara had revealed before this scribe that few oil wells there explored and dug by a foreign oil company were closed again and were filled with solid material of steel so that huge quantity of high quality oil can not be extracted from those well because of the reasons best known to that foreign company owners.

The source had further added that in the same area of Shakardara where oil wells were blocked in the past now OGDC has started digging for oil and soon Pakistan will become self sufficient in its oil needs.

Meanwhile PTI Chairman Imran Khan and Chief Minister KPK MR. Parvez Khatak in a joint press conference aired by a private TV channel have announced that with help of Russia an oil refinery will be constructed in Karak district of KPK.

Source in Karak had revealed that great deal of corrupt practices are witnessed here in terms of stealth of oil and misappropriation of money earned through oil production from oil fields of Karak.
